Tebrau River Cleaning Project, Johor Bahru

I wasn't aware about this till my brother told me about it. I wondered there's no banner for public awareness.

When I rush to the location (where at the back of Bayu Puteri 3 Apartment), the show had over! And I saw the only awareness was a A3 size board standing 1 meter up beside the road??! Only the peoples who stayed around that area will aware of this event.
I was told that the public respond was perfect!! Because.......everyone who came, they will enjoy free foods & drinks!! Hmm.....what do you think?


The rubbish issue were discussed before on this thread. I am too excited (give a hand too!) because we going to have a clean river around us! End up......it's just because the free foods & drinks attract the public. I manage to snap some photos there......

We stepped in and have a chat with the fisherman over there.....and realize this is the rubbish collected!

Beauty Mama Competition, C.Square, Johor Bahru

Beauty Mother Competition @ City Square Plaza, Johor Bahru (11th May 2008)

It's a coincidence.
I brought my family with my mum-in-law to City Square Plaza, Johor Bahru for 'Mother's day' lunch and came across this competition.
It's also for the purpose of meeting a friend from Malacca - 9W2HHL (Heng). He was there because of his wife it's one of the judges for the competition!
I simply take out my cam and give some shots of the competition.

I admit that I'm not familiar with the setting of this camera yet. Overall I'm totally disappointed with my shots. (My apologies)

International Kite Festival - Pasir Gudang, Johor

The Johor Corporation organise the event every year at Bukit Layang Layang (Kite Hill), Pasir Gudang Johor. (It's about 30 minutes drive from Johor Bahru town) The Festival was on 24th February 2008.


The field was pack of peoples when we arrived. There are many country participate in the yearly events of Johor.



Different kind of kites you can see from the big field. Big, small, creative and even Huge....everyone was showing their skills and the beautiful kites they have. But the weather seems like not on their side, because it's cloudy & windless.



So we only manage to see those giant kite laying on the green field.......

We almost lost our direction while on the way back to get our car........!

Visited this shop on past Sunday.
The claypot Bak Kut Teh - Average.
And the claypot ginger chicken portion was too small for four persons, but taste good.

Beautiful View of Johor Straits

On one sunny day and I visited this small fishing village and the scenic view really surprise me!!
The village located at the back of Taman Perling - a.k.a. Perling Seafood Village, Singapore just at opposite.

I simply walk in to one of the Seafood Restaurant call 'Restaurant Asli' (N1°27.634' E103 °42.298'). It's not a big & commercial type, but it's nice and comfort. You can have very nice view of Johor Straits from the restaurant.



The locals are staying along the straits from both sites of the restaurant.

You can even zoom in and see some high-rise building at Johor Bahru Town on your right.

I cannot comment on the foods yet. I will definitely come back again for the Sunset and the seafood.
